Terms of Use

Effective date: August 26, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SipSip Lab (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Peekaboo iOS application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms incorporate and supplement Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where these Terms conflict with Apple’s agreement, Apple’s agreement controls to the extent of the conflict.

2. What the App does

Peekaboo edits photos you choose so that a face is naturally concealed — for example with sunglasses, a cap, a hand, or by turning the subject away — or covered with an on-device blur or emoji. The generative looks use Google’s Gemini image model over an internet connection; the blur/emoji cover is processed entirely on your device. How your photos are handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

3. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse-engineer the App or its services except as permitted by law.

4. Free saves and Peekaboo Pro

  • Free tier. Your first 3 saves or shares are free. The on-device blur/emoji cover is free without limit.
  • Peekaboo Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription (product sipsip.peekaboo.pro.monthly) that unlocks unlimited saves and shares. The price shown in the App at purchase applies — US $4.99 per month at launch; prices vary by region and are displayed in your local currency before you confirm.
  • Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Cancelling. Manage or cancel the subscription anytime in your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Deleting the App does not cancel the subscription.
  • Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Restoring. Use “Restore Purchases” in the App to re-enable Pro on a new or reset device.
  • Price changes. If the subscription price changes, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before charging the new price.

5. Your photos and generated content

You keep all rights to the photos you bring to the App and to the edited results. We claim no ownership of either. You grant us only the limited, transient right to process your chosen photo (including through our service providers, Google and our relay host) for the sole purpose of generating your edit.

You are responsible for the photos you edit and what you do with the results. You agree to use the App only with photos you have the right to use, and not to:

  • edit photos of people where doing so violates their rights or applicable law;
  • use edited photos to deceive, defame, harass, or impersonate anyone, or to misrepresent an edited image as an unedited record of events in any context where that matters (for example, evidence, journalism, or official documents);
  • use the App for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to probe, overload, or interfere with the App’s services.

6. AI-generated results

The generative looks are produced by a machine-learning model. Results are variable by nature: an edit may look imperfect, may differ between attempts, and may occasionally fail to generate. We do not guarantee that any particular edit will meet your expectations or fully conceal a person’s identity, and you should review every result before sharing it. Free saves are not consumed by generation itself — only by saving or sharing.

7. Service availability

The generative looks require an internet connection and depend on third-party services (Google’s Gemini API and our hosting providers). We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features — including changing the underlying model — at any time. The on-device blur/emoji cover works without a connection.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SipSip Lab will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us through the App in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the App’s connected services if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 5 through 9 survive termination.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page and noted in the App’s release notes. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SipSip Lab is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence applies.
